Will there be food provided?
Yes, we will be providing a full dinner following the ceremony at 7pm at Longhorn Grill
Address: 28851 S Nogales Hwy, Amado, AZ 85645
Vegetarian Options available
What’s the dress code?
We suggest semi-formal. It may be warm during the day and cooler in the evening, so layers are a good idea. Tumacácori National Historical Park is a beautiful but primitive site, with uneven paths and natural terrain. We recommend comfortable, sturdy shoes—think stylish flats, block heels, or boots over stilettos or thin soles.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will start at 6pm, please arrive 15–20 minutes before the ceremony begins so we can start on time. You won't want to miss the view.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is free parking on-site. We'll have signs.
Are you accepting gifts or do you have a wedding registry?
No, we have enough stuff and would prefer no gifts. If you're feeling generous and would like to donate to our honeymoon fund, please see the registry page. You may also donate to the Human Society of Southern Arizona on our behalf at https://hssaz.org/help/donate/
Will there be transportation provided?
We recommend carpooling, or driving yourself, as rideshare services may be limited in Tumacácori-Carmen.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We're open to it, but if you want to be in the moment, our photographer will capture everything beautifully—we promise to share!
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will both be indoors. The ceremony will take place in the brick church, you can't miss it. This church was taken over by Franciscan missionaries after the Jesuits were expelled from Spanish territories. Around 1800, construction began on the current adobe and —though it was never completely finished. It has exposed brick, arches, partially built bell tower, and striking façade tell the story of a place where cultures, faiths, and histories intersected.
What’s the weather like in May?
May in southern Arizona is typically warm and dry, with daytime highs in the 80s and cooler evenings. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and staying hydrated are encouraged. Our ceremony is in the evening, so you get some heat reprieve.
Are kids welcome?
We love your little ones, but this event will be adults preferred we have limited attendees with very few close family under 16.
